The Little Mermaid

Daddy got us all tickets to go see a live performance of The Little Mermaid.

We were so excited for the show!

And afterward we got to meet all the characters
The dog Collier was one of our favorites

Emily liked King Poseidon
(Claire told him she would get her picture with him next time)
And Bobell was such a silly frog

Halloween Party!

We had a great time with Miss Kathy at our Halloween Party!
She is so good to us!

Zoo Boo!

My friend Katherine from college came in town for a quick visit so we headed to Zoo Boo! We met up with friends for lunch and then trick-or-treated while we saw all the animals. What a fun day and fun visit with friends!

Halloween Fair!

The kids in 4-H put on a Halloween Party in Noblesville each year. It is really cute with old fashioned games and candy. We were all set to be brave - Even Claire was going to have a good time.

Until we saw Captain Hook

But we stuck through it ...

and ended up having a great time!

The Pumpkin Patch

We headed to Russell Farms over the weekend to pick out our pumpkins.
The girls had a lot of fun ...

Running through the corn maze

Petting the animals - they had really cute spotted pigs
Playing minature golf
Hayride
Picking out the perfect pumpkin

It was a good family day!

A New Friend

The girls have a new friend - Chewby!
(This is Claire's made up name for everything)
They were so excited about this fuzzy caterpillar ... but unfortunately I think he will just be an overnight friend. I got online to see what we could feed the little guy and turns out his fuzzy hairs are poisonous and cause a bad rash.
How do I break it to them in the morning?

It was fun for a little while anyway!

Camping

We braved the cold and rainy weather to go camping with Scott's family this weekend. The girls had lots of fun running around and playing.

We learned a new game that can keep a 3 year old busy for awhile. You have to swing the ring and try to get it around the hook on the tree.

No kidding - the adults even played and lined up for a turn!

First Friday Fun

For a little while anyway ....

Noblesville puts on an event the first Friday of every month. This month was the fall festival. Kids could paint pumpkins and trick-or-treat through the local stores on the square. They had food vendors and they closed down the street to set up a giant movie screen - this month's feature was E.T.

All went well until Claire spotted someone in a costume ... after that she wanted no part of the fun and we went to sit in the car. Emily stuck it out and braved the costumes to get her and her sister some treats. Anyone else have kids who are deathly scared of people dressed up - what do we do????
